Obsidian (Lux, #1) - Jennifer L. Armentrout Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
You have to read the book Synopsis …

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is.

Jennifer L. Armentrout brings us a Science Fiction/Romance novel that is out of this world....and yes it’s about Aliens. I have to say this is the first book I’ve read by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I was captivated with her writing, it is easy to read, the words flowed easily; Jennifer is one of those authors that when you buy her books you know you are going to sit there all day and read it till your done. I am not a science fiction fan but amazingly I think the author has made me think differently about this genre. This is one fantastic series!

Katy has just moved to a new town sitting in her room she notices the neighbours and they appear to be around her age her mother thinks Katy should go introduce herself but Katy is not so sure. When Katy decides she will approach the house asking for directions to the store she walks up the stairs and knocks on their door...Then he opens the door....standing there wearing no shirt, messed up hair and beautiful green eyes Katy is speechless...too bad Daemon wasn’t though. Daemon is one of the rudest boys she has come across and boy he is arrogant, thank god Katy meets his sister who is really nice and they become friends. But like any normal young woman she cannot stop thinking about that hot body and those green eyes. Daemon is rude, pokes her in class and plain just drives her nuts. The tension is amazing. The best part is watching the way their relationship develops and how Daemon drives poor Katy nuts.

You get so caught up in this story you don’t want to put the book down, I have to say Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of new favorite authors and I will be adding all her books to my to be read list. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
I have rated Obsidian a 5 star rating as when an author can make me like a whole new genre, make me stay up late and searching for her other books you know that this is some fantastic writing.

I would recommend all my friends/followers and anyone who reads my reviews to go purchase this book.
