One Wicked Night - Emily Quinn One Wicked Night by Emily Quinn is a well written novella, Emily Quinn’s writing is excellent the plot and characters are written extremely well, once you start reading One Wicked Night you will not want to put the book down.

We meet Angel who has worked extremely hard on her career, but has no romance in her life. It doesn’t help that for the last 3 years she has been lusting over her boss. Fernando is a very successful business man and he has hidden his feeling for Angel for years.

When their friends convince them both to sign up to an exclusive dating service fate and a little bit of magic seems to find a way to put Angel and Fernando’s in each other’s path.

One Wicked Night has something for everyone, it is a short, fast paced enjoyable read. I have rated One Wicked Night a 4.5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys adult romance novels. I defiantly would read anything else written by Emily Quinn.
Precious Embrace (Embrace, #2) - Dana Mason Precious Embrace (Embrace, #2)

Dana Mason is a fantastic author, her writing is superb and Precious Embrace has everything a great story needs to captivate the readers.

It is full of suspense, heartache, love and loss…….it keeps you turning page after page, it’s not a book that I could put down.

The Embrace series is one of the better series I have read lately and I have to say again her writing is superb. I believe only great authors can evoke the reader’s true emotions while reading their stories and Dana Mason does not disappoint.

Great Job Dana and I definitely can’t wait to read more in this series or any other books you write.
Attachment Strings - Chris T. Kat This is the first book I've read written my Chris T. Kat and will say I did enjoy her writing style and look forward to reading more in this series.

We first meet Jeff who is a police detective in Atlantic City, Jess and his partner Parker are called out to investigate a murder. The murder victim is a disabled man.

After a hard day’s work Jeff decides to go out and have a drink in a local bar and find a man to have a quick romp. Jeff doesn't do relationship and just wants to get his needs met. In walks Alex who decides he wants to spend his evening with Jeff. Jeff hesitates as Alex is not really his type but decides to go with it. The chemistry between these two is great and the banter is quite funny.

The next day Jeff and Parker are called into their chief’s office and are asked to investigate the Major's daughters receiving some threats against her disable child.

As the investigation begins Jeff and Parker work together to figure out what is going on and if the threats hold any merit.

Meanwhile Jeff can't stop thinking about Alex and hopes to meet up with him again.

The mystery, the romance is good, the topic however is kind of hard to read considering some of Jeff's internal thoughts. But I enjoyed the story and really want to read the next book to see how things are going for Jeff, Alex and Sean. I also want to hear more about Parker.

Attachment Strings held my interested and I couldn't stop reading till I knew what was going on. The male/male romance is one of my favorite genres and I enjoyed this story, even though some of the Jeff's thoughts pissed me off.

Overall if you like mystery, romance and some hot male on male encounters then you should pick up a copy of Attachment Strings (Jeff Woods Mystery, #1). I would gladly recommend this story to my friends.
Big Girls Do It Better (Big Girls Do It, #1) - Jasinda Wilder Big Girls Do It Better by Jasinda Wilder.

I found this series by accident today and thought I'd check it out sounded like it could be a fun read. I am so glad I found Jasinda authors page, I have added all her book to my to be read list.

Jasinca Wilder's writing is very good, Big Girls Do It Better was easy to read, flowed well and is a great short story. We meet Anna who in her eyes sees herself as a big girl and has some self esteem issues. When Chase see's her he is attracted to Anna immediately. Funny thing is Anna assumes he just wants a one night stand, like the others have always wanted from her (the big girl).

Chase see's more then Anna's size. I won't say anymore but if you want a quick fun read this is one for you.

Skin Deep (DarkWorld, #1) - T.G. Ayer Skin Deep (DarkWorld #1) by T.G. Ayer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a new series written by T.G. Ayer and it is a great beginning of a series that I definitely going to keep my eye on. The plot and characters are well written, the story flows so well you don’t want to put Skin Deep down till you reach the end.

We first meet Kailin who is a panther shape shifter, she leaves her clan and lives among the human. Kailin spends her days working in the addiction field helping other and at night she is a Wraith hunter.

One evening Kailin comes across a body of a shifter who had been skinned and left for dead. Here is where she meets Logan who is part Omega and works for a special team on the police force who work investigating non-human cases. As this investigation is under way Logan and Kailin end up running into each other a lot. The attraction is there and feelings begin to develop between the two.

Skin Deep is full of suspense, mystery and a touch of romance and had me hooked right from the beginning. It is well written and draws you in, I have rated it a 4 star rating and cannot wait to read the next book in this series. T.G. Ayer has outdone herself once again in this Dark World series. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoy paranormal genre.

Super Dark (Super Dark, #1) - Tanith Morse Super Dark (Super Dark #1) by Tanith Morse

This is the first time I’ve read anything written by Tanith Morse, here writing style is excellent, the plot and character were well written and I found I couldn’t put this novel down.

We first meet Samantha and Elliot on Halloween night as young children out trick or treating and they are kidnapped. Elliot begs the kidnappers to let Samantha go and he will be good and do what they say, and of course Samantha is let go. For Samantha this incident has left her with a lifetime of guilt. Now years later Elliot has still never been found and Samantha struggles to move on.

Starting a new school Sam meets a few new friends and for the first time in a very long time Sam thinks maybe she should try to accept their friendship. Sam knows everyone knows who she is as her kidnapping case was very public. This publicity has led her to be a very closed off and second guess most people as they usually want something from her, but Sam takes a chance with Becky and Frasier.
Out one night Sam and Becky meet a young man Lee and Becky falls for him immediately, of course Sam being a bit more reserved doesn’t say much but she feels an instant attraction to Lee.

Lee is what one would call mysterious and of course both girls are drawn to this. Sam quietly and secretly tries to figure him out and of course this leads to trouble. There is something about Lee that makes Sam wonder who he is and why is he so secretive and moody.
I was quite shocked when I started reading Super Dark, as I wondered why I hadn’t heard of this series, it’s a bit of paranormal, mystery and full of deep dark secrets. The story pulls you in and you can’t stop reading as you need to know what is going on. I love a good mystery.

I have rated Super Dark a 4 star rating and cannot wait to read the next book in this series, Tanith Morse has written a great first novel and this series is one I intend to read to see what happens to Sam, Lee and their friends.
Not Quite Mine (Not Quite, #2) - Catherine Bybee Not Quite Mine (Not Quite #2) by Catherine Bybee

I first read a novel call Not Quite Dating by Catherine Bybee and really enjoyed the story and the authors writing. So when book two in this series was up I knew right away I had to read it. Catherine Bybee’s writing is really good, the story line and characters are well written this is one of those books when you sit down to start to read it you get so caught up in the story that before you know it your at the end.

In Not Quite Mine we start off at Jack and Jessie’s wedding from Not Quite Dating, and Katie and Dean are both the main characters in this novel. Katie who is Jack’s sister has always been a bit of a spoiled wild rich girl and Dean who is one of Jack’s best friends has always held some major feelings for Katie. Katie and Dean have a past that they kept a secret from everyone; part of the fun was the sneaking around. But when the relationship ended they both pretended to move on, each one thinking the other never really cared. As we get into this story we find out that they both held secrets from one another and really do still have some feeling for each other.

Right after the wedding Katie finds a 2 week old baby left in front of her door with a note asking her to take care of the baby as her own. Katie has no idea who the mother is and how she knew Katie couldn’t have children of her own. Of course she immediately falls in love with Savannah and decides she has to keep this a secret till she can find out more. Keeping this secret is going to be hard work for Katie especially since Dean is snooping around trying to figure out what is going on with Katie and why is she acting so different. Dean confronts her on her behaviour using the excuse he is keeping an eye on her for her brother Jack, he can tell Katie is hiding something.

There is so much more to this story then just romance it’s about letting go of your past, growing and the changes one goes through when there is someone more important than yourself. What happens when Dean finds out about Savannah, and then Katie’s mother seems to appear out of nowhere? Then to make things even harder is watching Dean with Savannah and knowing how great a father he would be?

This whole novel is fantastic, I loved reading about Jessie, Jack and Danny, and Gaylord Jack and Katie’s dad all the characters are so well written you cannot help but want more. I for one cannot wait for book 3 in this series.

I have rated Not Quite Mine a 4.5 stars and would recommend anyone reading my review to go pick up Not Quite Dating and Not Quite Mine. Catherine Bybee writing is one of the better romance authors I have read and love her writing style; she definitely is one of my favorite authors.
Memory's Wake (Memory's Wake Trilogy #1) - Selina Fenech Memory's Wake (Memory's Wake Trilogy #1) by Selina Fenech

I really want to say the drawings in this book are fantastic; it really helped visualize the story and the character while reading Memory’s Wake. When I finished I went back and took another look as they are fantastic, not only is Selina a great artist she is a great author.

Memory’s Wake reminds me of the world that fairy tales are made out of and like I mentioned above the drawings only added to this fantastic story.

This story is a fantasy novel full of adventure and even some romance, right in the beginning we meet a young girl who somehow has appeared in this mystical land of Avall, Eloryn who is standing there when she appears has no idea how this young girl even got there. Eloryn who is on the run from the hunters because she used magic without authorization knows she must help the young girl or she could be hurt or killed. So they adventure begins. Eloryn name her new friend Memory, Eloryn and Memory have to work together to survive. During their adventure we meet Roen and Will who are some interesting character also.

Memory’s Wake is full of adventure, dragon’s, magic, wizards a mystical world awaits anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre.

I have rated Memory’s Wake a 3.5 star rating, and would recommend anyone who enjoys this genre to pick up a copy for yourself.

First let me say I am a fan of Shannon Dermott and love her Young Adult Paranormal series. So when I was offered to read and review her new adult contempary romance novel I immediately wanted a copy to read. I have to say that Shannon transitioned over to the adult romance genre extremely well, this book is fantastic and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series Liabilities (Balance Sheet #2).

Kalen and Bailey romance is sizzling but there are some secrets and as the reader you can imagine what going to happen. There is so much going on in the story, Bailey’s work, her relationship with Kalen, her friendship with Matt (Lizzy’s brother) and Kevin her supervisor from work.

An Unexpected Hunger - C. Rosa review to follow
Just Good Friends - S.L. Siwik Just Good Friends by S.L. Siwik

This is a debut novel for S.L. Siwik and I have to say I really enjoyed the authors writing. This story is a really good friendship/romance novel. S.L. writing was easy to read, the story flowed seamlessly, I really got caught up in this story and before I knew it I had read the entire book. The plot the story line and the character were all great, I hope there is more to come in this series as I think it was a fantastic read and loved all the other characters.

We meet Audrey who is working two jobs to pay the bills; she is basically living from paycheck to paycheck. She is a waitress during the day then at night stalk shelves at a local store. We find out the Audrey comes from a pretty well off family but left home when she was 18 to head to college and has no desire to return there. She fell in love once only to find out he was cheating on her so she left him too.

Now on her own she is struggling to make ends meet, only having one day off a week she pretty much knows she may never find romance again. She’s not even sure she wants romance at this point, her family and cheating boyfriends does not lead Audrey to believe in love or commitment. One day on a whim she decides to place an ad looking for a friend with benefit situation. She gets quite a few emails, one from a male who wants to set her up with his friend Mike.

So soon we meet Mike who is a police officer and he only agrees to go out and meet Audrey because of his friend John. When they meet he really screws up their first meeting which does not make a very good impression with Audrey. Mike knows he screwed up so he tries to repair the damage he has done. Audrey forgives him but lets him know she can’t forget what he said and decides they can be friends (no benefits).

As the get to know each other on a friendship basis they become quite close, even Mike’s police officer buddies are hanging around her place of work. It is a cute romance novel; I really enjoyed the story and S.L. Siwik writing. I have rated Just Good Friends a 4 star rating and defiantly would like to read more from the author. I would recommend to any of my friends or followers to grab a copy of Just Good Friends by S.L. Siwik.
Alpha Girl - Kate Bloomfield Alpha Girl (Wolfling #1) by Kate Bloomfield

Alpha Girl is a well written novel; I really enjoyed Kate Bloomfield writing. The characters were developed well I ended up really liking Rose and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. This story was medium length read, easy to read and it flowed smoothly. There were parts where I felt some of the story was a bit rushed, but I found I still really enjoyed the story and enjoyed reading about Rose as she came out of her shell.

Rose is quiet, very shy almost appears to be withdrawn, but as the story moves along we see Rose as a mature young woman, she has more confidence and even comes across bold when she is talking to Mr. Stone. Mr. Stone came across a bit odd and was hard for me to like him knowing he was Rose’s teacher. But the difference here is he doesn’t pursue Rose she goes after him.

Her attraction to Mr. Stone was different for me and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this story because of the teacher/student relationship, but as I got to know Rose and remembered that she is an alpha wolf I put it all in perspective. At first they do feel the attraction but both keep the secret of what they are and it holds them back for a short time.

The romance and attraction between Rose and Mr. Stone happens fairly fast and Rose is the instigator in this, there is some sexual content between the two and will say it was written well. All and all the story kept my attention and I really enjoyed Kate’s writing and definitely will read the second book in this series.

I have rated Alpha Girl 3.5 stars. If you like romance, werewolves then this could be a book for you. Stop by and check it out.
Restore My Heart - Chelsea Camaron Restore My Heart (Daddy's Girls #1) by Chelsea Camaron

I signed up for the blog tour for Restore My Heart by Chelsea Camaron and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, Chelsea Camaron's writing was easy to read, the story flowed well and character description were well written. I really really loved Ryder Davenport. I want for myself!

So we meet Dina who has lost her parents in a horrible accident, then fell in love with a man who was abusive and didn't deserve her love and loyalty. To safe guard her heart she puts everything into her work and friends. Dina has known Ryder for awhile and knows his playboy ways. So when he starts paying more attention to her she thinks it's just him being nice to her. Ryder Davenport is sick of the women he has been seeing or should I say sleeping with and really wants to find his one true love. He knows that Dina could be the one.

This is a book about romance, the love of cars, trusting, loving and believing that your dreams can come true.

So all and all I have rated Restore My Heart a 4 star rating, and if you like a bit of spice with your romance novels this is the one to purchase.

I enjoyed this book so much that I went right away and wanted to read the next book in this series call "Salvaged" and it was another great story and Chelsea Camaron has to be commended for writing another fantastic book.

Salvaged - Chelsea Camaron review to come - blog tour
The Soother - Elle J. Rossi The Soother (The Brennan Coven Trilogy, #2) by Elle J Rossi

I never had the chance to read the first book in this series, but I did manage to figure everything out. Elle J. Rossi writing is very good, the story flows well and before you know it you’re swept into this story.

Calliope is a fantastic main character; I loved so much about her, she is a Soother (witch) and helps in every way she can to ease their pain. Krystoff who is a wizard/vampire and is full of darkness and Calliope knows she has to ease some of his pain. They do say opposites attract. Calliope and Krystoff are instantly attracted to each other and are meant to be together. But Krystoff mother Queen Riona does not agree.

The Soother is full of mystery, romance, good and bad and was one of those books you can’t seem to put down. The side characters in the story are quite interesting and I really cannot wait to read more.

I have to say the descriptions in this story are very well written and you can almost see the places in your head. Elle J. Rossi has done a fantastic job with this series and I for one will be adding Elle to my list of authors to read.

I have rated The Soother (The Brennan Coven Trilogy, #2) 4 stars and would recommend to anyone who enjoy the paranormal genre.
